Ecological Economics and Its Implications on the Standard Valuation Methods of the Environment

Thank you for inviting me to the Centre to give this seminar. In my talk today, I have two major points to discuss. First, I would like to present what I consider to be the principle tenants of Ecological Economics. I would like to follow this by a presentation of the major implications of ecological economics to the standard methods of economic analyses, in general, and the valuation of ecosystem services, in particular.
